Hood frame adjustment - is there any ??

The hood frame on my 82 cabby doesn't fit quite right.

The ns latch is a little too far away from the receiver on the A pillar and the locating tonge wont reach the socket, its as if the frame needs to come forward 1/2 an inch

Any ideas ??

Mine is the same can force it in just not sure why this is there's an eccentric nut adjuster above b pillar that mines but seems to make no diffrence to how it fits at the front I have tried lots so try and sort this with no luck
