Help

Morning all!

Taking all my interior out of the golf to give it some tlc, but really struggling to get the dash out ot remove the carpet..

Any advise?

Why remove the dash to get at the carpet ? There's only 4 clips at toe top of the footwell so no need to remove the dash

It seems to be tooked under the bottom half of the dash, whether a previous owner has removed it before im not sure, but it is definalty tooked under and im unable to get it out?

Try take off just the lower part of the dash to make it easier to see. You'll have to pop the centre console off the gearstick and disconnect gauges. Lower section of dash should be a few bolts holding that on, a couple on the corners and 4 or 5 along the join. Should just slide out once the bolts are out.

Should give you enough clearance to get the carpet out without having to take the top of the dash off - more involved doing that due to the switches and knobs!
