So the dashboard in the cabby has the usual peeling, but more than just the windscreen vents.
Its peeling along:
-The lower edges of the glove box
- The lower edge of the knee bar, and the upper now its removed
-Ofcourse the windscreen vents
-And a couple of other edges
The dash will be out soon, i understand the dash inserts are the best way to solve the air vents, but whats the best glue to use for sticking the rest down?
I imagine warm the vinyl with a hairdryer, then stick using evo stick? Just wanted to check before i do it wrong!
Its a brown dash in an 81 cabby if that makes any difference.

Evo stick won't be good enough look for High Temperature contact adhesive as this won't come undone in hot situations. It's used on hood fitting and headliners.
I use tons of the stuff, get mine from E bay from a company called wayside adhesives.
I'd also recommend getting some 303 areospace for all the interior plastics it's like sun cream for the interior bits stops door cappings from splitting and deterioration.

Perfect, definitely glad i asked then!
Good call on the sun cream too, might be a bit late for the drivers door capping though! Is that a case of do it whilst its all out once and forget about it? Or do it once a month like a coat of wax on the body?

Yep it's a spray on stuff, they use it on outdoor stuff like garden furniture and jacuzzi covers etc.
Great for Vynil roofs on Cabbies
Just google it you'll see.

So the dash is finally out and has had a clean!
I believe this is what you mean Chortle?

(The same seller).
1ltr will be a bit to much, not sure aerosol will be the best either.
I'm thinking this if its suitable?

Also, the door lock handles on the inside of the doors have faded to a white, they need back to browning. Suitable substances? The only suitable stuff in my car cleaning box is back to black…
