Incorrect brackets

I tracked down some new spotlights for my 1989 Clipper Cabrio on eBay, they are the same part numbers as the ones I have on the car, but just gone to fit them and the brackets that attach them to the grill are totally different...... :-(

This is now the 2nd set I have purchased and they have failed to fit, so I am wondering if anyone knows whether I can take the glass off the ones I have which are smashed and then somehow remove the glass off the ones I purchased and re-bond them?

Answer is probably no, but I thought I would ask!

Cheers

you can remove the glass, pop the oven on and stick em in for about 10 mins, remove from oven carefully as they gonna be hot, prise the glass off very carefully by running a flat head screwdriver all round it (twist it in various places) once glass removed, clean edges and refit onto old units with a bead of silicone sealer, squash back together and let it dry over night.

I put an argos catalogue on top of mine to hold it down, worked a treat and still held for over 2 years

hope helps

just take your time, its a case of warming up the glue then prising the glass off, be careful as they can break if you use too much pressure

good luck and watch your fingers  :)
