Convertible roof frame

Hi guys after a bit of advice. I have a 89 convertible with electric hood the frame has had some bad weld repairs in the past. I have a chance to get a good manual hood from a 84. The question is can I swop component from the 84 frame to mine? Thanks 

Not without some modding, I actually prefer the manuals as they don't stop working usually Rust, and bad Struts usually cause them to misbehave.
