cabby roof gap!

Post

our cabby has a slight gap in the middle of the front windscreen between the roof and screen, not letting in but noisy, old roof and brand new one sat the same. could it be the seal?

Picture of the issue is good.

It may need the J hooks by the locking handles adjusting to pull the header onto the windscreen frame seal tighter.

looks to me like you could do with peeling the front of the material off and re-sticking it a bit more curled under. it looks fine on the passenger side then it all goes to pot

you'll need some good high temp impact adhesive to do the job, for this one you'll probably find the brush on stuff is easier.

to do this open roof and you'll see a metal retaining strip all the way along held on with screws. remove that then carefully peel the material away from the header rail and clean off all the old glue.  apply more glue to both surfaces and leave it a bit to go off then refit the material. be sure to pull the edge lip over so its kinda tucked under the edge of the metal roof lip if that makes sense? that what it should make better contact with the rubber seal on the windscreen

best pic I have of mine:

Tricky to say, however as Johnny points out the roof edge needs to re aligned.

Plus there looks like a dip or hollow at the front behind the header of the frame. There's usually a filler strip that fits there. Some fitters don't glue the front down either.
It may well need gluing and a bit fettle.
