Cabby front and rear bumper query

Evening all,

Just a quick query regarding the bumpers on my cabby - I have been looking to replace them as they're looking a bit aged and past it. Trouble is, they seem to be in abundance due to the chrome trim that they have fitted to them.

What I would like to know is how easy is it to restore the chrome on them and has anyone had this issue before, where the chrome finish has faded? Maybe there is a kit out there that I do not know of that can cover over the existing trim?
