body parts removal

Hi there, I am trying too remove the rear window winder from my mk1 cabby.  It seems to be causing me a little problem, being a complete novice to workin with cars am in need of some advice.

Thank heavens for that, I thought you were going to cut a leg off  :lol:

There is a plastic cover you can remove with a small driver then once removed you should see a X head screw, remove and your winder should come off, but I may be wrong on a cab.

Depends if its a late cabb, mine you had to grab the black of the winder and prise it open, then pull off gently from the end thats attacthed to the car, which will expose a screw, make sure you've got right size screwdriver as they round quite easily….
Undo screw and pull off..
2 minute job when you know how

mine you have to pull the plastic outer off the metal inner part to show the screw

unsure if same as above as i am no good at 1. understanding insturctions without pictures and 2. writing instructions without a video of what i did

Okay, try this.

Grasp the plastic trim at the widest point and pull it away from the door card.

Once unclipped, move the trim to one side and you'll expose a X head screw.

Unscrew this then pull the handle off complete.  Careful not to loose the screw down the side of the seat!
