Which ECU route ? OMEX, Qpeng or Standard ?

Post

I have a BAM sat waiting to go in my MK1 Golf Van when it comes back from paint.
I'm in a dilemma which way to go with ECU's !
The Qpeng is an appealing option but I'm wary of the DBC conversion.
Omex sounds good as I'd like to get rid of a lot of the clutter on the engine.
Standard ECU with a vagtronics loom also appealing but don't want it to look cluttered .
Any input much appreciated .

Personally I would always use a programmable after market ecu.

i would if your not into tuning the car the car yourself then i would stick with oem ecu, you can always get some of the features mapped out to keep the bay uncluttered

the plus side of going oem is that you have full diagnostics available at you finger tips

Interesting ! What Items could I have mapped out and still have a nice running engine ?
