Where to connect mechanical temperature gauge?

Post

The last owner of my 93 Cabby installed a GTI centre console and 3 gauges (Water Temp, Oil Pressure, Amps) but never hooked them up. I know it's not 'cannon' but I thought I may as well use them.

Was wondering if anyone knew where the best place to hook up the tempreature gauge sensor would be (it's mechanical, so no electricity required)?

The gauges in a cabby usually are Voltmeter, Oil Temp, and Oil pressure, the Water temp is in the instrument cluster.

So I spose it is good to ask what gauges are you wanting to replace with mechanical, the Oil Pressure?

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

I don't want to replace any of the in-dash gauges - I'd rather have both working if possible. If not possible, then I'd rather not have functional center gauges at all. Not too fussed about which gauges are in the centre console - pretty sure it's not even meant to be there on this car anyway, and the gauges the last owner 'installed' are the cheap, off the shelf kind. I was just thinking if they were easy to set up, why not use them?
