what six speed box for and agu?

What is the best diesel 6 spd to use on an AGU 1.8t? Looking at a few but i dont really know what i need. Advise please.

tbh honest there really isnt one suitable for the mk1, the petrol box ratio's are to short for the mk1's smaller wheels plus theres no take off for the speedo drive so would need to run a electric to mechanical speedo adaptor

aye the 02m boxes are tricky fit apart from the above you got to make custom shafts and mounts for it. they also way eleventy billion tons!

if you can find one the 02s box from lower power mk5+ golf is almost straight fit, just need to change bellhousing for 02j one and flanges for 100mm, then its direct bolt in with mk1 02j mounts

only thing is ratio wise they may not be great so would have to shop around to find one, then look up the code to see what ratio it is. could be a good basis for 02j gear swaps though depending what gears are poor as 1st and 3rd are part of the shaft input shaft plus the final drive is part of the output shaft and so cannot be changed but the rest can
