So I'm running the engine for ten minutes.
The coolant gauge on the dash goes just past half way and there's no power to the radiator fan connector?
The radiator it's getting hot but only on the side with the hoses.
The hose on the side of the engine, going into the top of the radiator Is hot, but the hose below, going into the thermostat is cold/cool still.
Does mean the thermostat is knackered? Or I've got a duff radiator?

Does the blower inside the car blow out hot air?
Could be a simple as an air lock in the coolant system?

so the mk4 temp sensor? you need to fit a resistor inline with the temp sensor for that to work properly. I bin the mk4 sensor and add the 4 pin mk3 8v sensor instead, works with the mk4 ecu and mk1/2/3 dash properly. if your mk4 is late you need to splice the mk3 plug on, but note the pins are not the same layout:

for the oil pressure you bin the mk4 switch, take out the allen head blank from the spare hole then fit both mk1/2 pressure switches.
