Power steering

This is probably a common question but just wonder the best way to add power steering to my mk1 golf tin top. I want it for performance driving so a quick rack set up would be ideal as well.

Could scour scrappies to find a hydraulic powered rack with the correct mk1 dimensions, the old favourite nissan rack is probably rather rare and worn out by now.   Or could look at the corsa type electrical systems with a quaife high geared (2.9) gear set for the golf rack.  The advantage here being simple bolt on.   I could possibly sell you the last 2 items if interested..

Morning dude. Great info so do you have the Corsa rack with Quaife gearing? Up for grabs. Have you used this on your car?

Out of interest which Corsa power steering is it please . Do you have any part numbers I need and a list of all parts needed please.

Its the corsa B system i believe,  afraid i have no info, didnt make it myself, it came from easysteer/mk2 mania,  dont really want to make/weld something as important as steering myself.  No i havent used/fitted it,

Is there not a ps kit for sale in the classifieds? Also Toyota starlet/ paseo are used also
