Early morning from the United Kingdom, Leicester
So my 83 Cabby has just been converted to the Mk4 Golf PD150 Diesel Engine Now i want to upgrade the Windows & the Roof to electric:
Windows - So I have sourced the Regulator/Lifters and the wiring and switch for the windows!! (do i need to change the door?)
Roof - I believe to do the power hood - Rams/Lifters, Brackets, Loom, switches, frame!!
Any pictures or walk throughs links with advice or help would be great direction will be more than greatly received.

Cabby Manual Roof & Windows Modified to electric
There should be a module for the windows that fits under the drivers dash area.
You'll need everything off a mate cabby for the power roof including the actual frame as they are different beasts. You'll need the full loom inc the extra fuse holders that clip onto the fuse box inc thermal fuses.
Plus the brackets welding welding in for the new rams and the motor pump mount.
All doable but at a Cost.
May of been an idea to buy a late cabby and PD that instead, but where's the fun in that lol.

Also you have to Mod the doors to accommodate the electric rails.
There are 3 holes that have to be drilled, and the Adjuster for the window stop has to be lengthened.
Here is a How do I convert a non-powered door to a power door. make a 89 door fit a 92 or 93 - Topless Rabbit Forums
You don't have to make the cuts for the Speaker or tweeters,,, but you have to make the adjuster holes for the regulator.
There is also a Thread on the vortex that contains all the information on the Cabriolets electric windows that you might ever need to know, including making your own motor controller.
