Hi all I have put a Agu 1.8t with k04 turbo and Saab injectors and vr6 maf housing running me3.8 ecu.
It's running now so I'm ready to map I was hoping r tech Nick would map it but he no longer dose conversions. So I have spoken to stealth but they say I need a boost controller is this the right way of mapping it? (As r tech don't do this) and has anyone had any experience with steath? Lastly dose any one no of a mapper to recommend? Cheers Steve

I've had dealings with stealth.
I took my 20vt and he told me plenty of things that had been done wrong when it had been put in, it's cost me a load of money to sort it.
Mines running a dta ecu and he is ment to be the go to guy but I've since heard after my visit that he never finishes maps on the first visit as there are always problems.
I don't get into slagging guys off but its when I was chatting to a few lads of the gti forum they had had issues with him.
Mines running a manual boost control which is a rubbish way to control boost so I'll be wiring in a n75j valve (more money) to control the boost better during the mapping.
I'm going to badger5 with mine next but it's a massive road trip for me from leeds but he's ment to be worth it

Cheers mk1 daz
Pretty much what I thought when they said manual boost controller. I spoke to bill from badger5 and he said he don't do me3.8 but he is looking to start in the near future.
If anyone has any other map suggestions for me3.8 please post
Cheers Steve

Have you tried
Rolling road – EFI Parts
I got recommended them for my dta mapping as a second best but I don't know if they do what you want.

Happy you have your car running !! Must be a hoot in a light mk1 !!
But the figures seem a bit low especially the torque, I had more than that on a k03s on my emerald with a Dave walker map.. I'd expect at least 250bhp. and run 1.3 bar boost standard internals should be fine .

Did they report any problems to why they couldn't get more power?
Air intake temps ok?
Fueling through injectors ok?
How are you controlling boost?
I wouldn't worry about bhp numbers I lost 40bhp on my last dyno session but it drives so much better.
Next mapping session im chasing another 100bhp, fitted x3 bigger intercooler, s2000 air filter, rerouted intercooler pipe work and made shorter route, got bigger injectors to fit, digital boost control over manual, race fuel pump, massive radiator and twin fans to keep it cool.
I bought a right lemon lol

hi daz yes there was problems put bhp up to 238 and the inlet temp was 72 so high Rick said it was because the intercooler needs to be raised as it was warm on the bottom behind the bumper or fit a cooling injector. Boost is controlled by the n75 valve. Fuelling is fine slight miss fire above 5800 rpm so I need new plugs but my mot is next month so I will play over the winter to try and inprove the power but in all I'm happy with the mapper and the power.mk1 daz said

Yeah my air intake temp was high too which I way I reduced power, the air filter was on the left side of the engine bay sucking warm air in, then the intercooler was mounted on the cross member so it got no cooling air.
When you want to upgrade the intercooler let me know and I'll send you a link to the one I got, it's massive but fits nice. About 2" from slam panel to about 1" below bonnet.
Glad the tuner worked out for you 👍
