I'm sure there was a guide on here somewhere about converting a Auto to a manual, but i cant find it.
could anyone link me up to it, or offer any info on doing it (parts needed, complexity)
car is currently a 1.8 auto clipper, would go for a 4 or 5 speed, not to fussed.
TIA

Hi. I have done this conversion. Converted a 16. auto to 1.8 manual. You will need gearbox, clutch, clutch cable, speedo cable, gear stick and linkage, pedal box, steering rack as mine didn't have the brackets on for the linkage and yours probably wont have either. Because I was doing engine swap too I had to swap drive shafts. There is also wiring to sort out too. There is a couple of wires near the gear stick that need joining. Also there is some wiring to do under the bonnet for reverse light switch etc.
Hope that helps!

it does yes, thanks for the reply. does the mk2 peddle box fit do you know, and will any box (as long as i have the fight clutch) fit
and i dont suppose by some freek miricle the mk3 peddle box fits?
the peddle box and linkage look to be the issue.

Don't know about other pedal boxes - I just used a mk1 one - took the easy option as I had one in stock
