My mk1 has a good kr 16v engine in it at the minute
Recently bought an ABF with ported head, high lift cams and running on bike carbs, I decided to renew the cambelt and tensioner before I dropped it into my car and found the intermediate shaft tight, removed it and it seemed ok, removed the sump and oil pump to find the block cracked where the oil pump drive shaft goes through it. So the ABF block is goosed !!
I have a 6a 2.0 16v engine in the garage as well, told it was a runner but would need checking over
So I'm thinking ABF ported head bolted to the 6a block ??? Would this work ???
Cheers

The head bolts are a stretch bolt so need replacing, use elring or adjusa bolts. A good quality std gasket will do the job, ABF gaskets are steel, elring or victor reinz.
