For those that can remember I have been building a ABF Mk1 cabrio in mars red.
I now have it running and engaging gears.
I still have a single issue. It will not idle correctly. Or won't idle at all unless foot is on the pedal.
I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to component test the Idle Stabilization Valve.
A new one is £300 so I think it would be best to confirm before just buying new stuff.
Also it is refusing to scan hence I can't just check via the ecu.
Cheers Denis

you are to rescue my car and my sanity
Yeah it did used to hum after the ignition had been on for a few secs.
I changed it and now it dosnt hum but still won't idle without pedal even if you warm it up for 5 mins or so.
I will be double checking all possible air leaks and vacuum connections as well.
Ill take you up on the offer at some point. hopefully I can drive it to you as opposed to getting it piggybacked!!
