Hi Guys,

When Rebuilding a 1.8T what do I do when Ive no heater in the car (Im doing away with it for a cleaner look in the bay) do I just bung the pipes or do i make my own to keep it cleaner?

Also when rebuilding it, I am replacing big end bearing, all gaskets, water pump & timing belt anything else use guys would recommend to replace while im doing this?

Thanks in advance :)

i run no heaters and just left the the 2 pipes hanging in bay. if u want smooth look just pull them and weld and smooth the to holes. as for engine. oil pump and pick up pipe i would replace if u rebuilding what i did was have new stems in valves and new  cam chain tensioner, head skimmed.

Oh sorry. U just use a t piece to join the 2 pipes on engine making it a loop. One is a metal pipe other is a plastic . I put some pic of my 1 so U get a better idea soon
