I've got my 02A 'box installed but the starter motor that came with it isn't plug n play

I think I've got one from a mk3 rather than a Corrado? Would I be right in thinking the red/black wire activates the solenoid and should go on the spade terminal of the 02A starter motor? I've unclipped the plastic plug from around the spade connector and it slides straight on but I'd like to get the correct plastic clippy plug for the starter motor if possible as it'll need some insulation. Does anyone know what part I need?
also, the other plug (double black wires) seems redundant on the 02A starter motor as there's only one spade terminal. Does the 02A one earth through the block and not need an earth connection?
Thanks in advance :-)

I think the starter is right but you need this connector.

That's the one. Thanks
Looks like it's common to quite a few different models so I think I'll make a trip to the local breakers in the morning

And from a bit more web searching it looks like the second plug with the black wires feeds the cold start valve, or at least it did once.

yep the other feed is pin 15a for the 5th injector. you can tap it to a cranking feed if you disable the cold throttle enrichment valve if fitted (metal cylinder on the rear of the airbox) or fit a diode in the wire to prevent the cold throttle system engaging the starter motor whenever you boot it
for an easy life just buy a corrado 1.8 16v starter motor, it'll swap right over and has the spade connections you need

Thanks rubjonny, useful info on the corrado starter.
I don't think I'm using the 5th injector connection (will double check but away from home atm) as the engine is g60'ed on megasquirt management.
The starter motor end was connected, but I would imagine the other end was unplugged.
As I've already got the starter motor and have also treated it to a new brush pack I was hoping that the plug sleeve 357 972 771 mentioned above would just slide over the spade connection and click into place. Do you know if it will, or if I'd have to cut the existing plug off and replace it?
Also do you know if it's available from VW?
Thanks

ah no need to worry then, g60 wont need any of the wiring to 15a I mention.
you can pop the spade out of the plastic housing and it'll push right onto the mk3 type pin no problem and work fine, make sure you nip the spade so its nice and tight. maybe some tape to help ensure it wont come out and seal it up. if it was me i woudl put a new pin and use the right plug, but I do suffer from wiring OCD
