Wow. I would think if you call them it'll come in nearer £250 if it's a second car - they mirror the no claims off your other car for classic policies, or at least they did for mine.
You need to keep it in a garage etc to comply with the classic car Ts & Cs

I'm sorted now bud, I used the classic insurance compare site listed in the main insurance forum and the cheapest quote was from Barry Grainger for £153 much better lol.

Whats wrong with the £10k quote, seems reasonable
My 17 yr old with his group 1 Seat mii, in his first year of driving was £1200, which is pretty decent.
I got him to do a fake quote on a comparison site for him now being 18 with his 1st years no claims bonus and it came out at £600 which will be great.
As he is like his Dad, he wants to lower and wheel it so he put aftermarket wheels on first andthe quotes went up around £50 - result.
He then put lowered suspension on as a mod and it went from £650 and 70 companies willing to insure him to 4 companies and £10k
BUT by going on another site he can get his Mii insured for £700 lowered and 17's on it when he completes his first year, so modding is not far away

Just insured mine with them with mods of full leather, abf engine lowered 100mm and agreed value of 5k and brakedown cover and still came in at just under £170.
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits
