Wont start

Ok ive recently done a full on engine conversion from a 1.1 to a Mk2 polo Coupe S engine

Everythings in, and i was missing one part being a Ignition Amplifier..

Got one today from a Mk1 golf GTI 1.8 8V (same fitment) go to fire it up and it just doesnt seem to want to catch..

Anyone got any tips or anything to help it get going, really fed up now

your getting fuel to the engine? and you are getting a spark?

how can i check im getting fuel…
And also getting a spark without killing myself…

pull an injector out an see if it sprays fuel?

Its not injection its carbed, been advised so get some fuel into the lines, as it may be that, also check i have the pipes correct way round

and pull a spark plug out, see if it sparks
