you want a polo manifold such as http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/…ts_SM?hash=item2c5225dd7d

sure the exhaust ports line up.

what about an engine conversion perhaps but it would need to be a 1.6ltr max :/

why 1.6 max? you could fit an aau out of a skoda/polo 6n but it's a bit pointless.

the reason tha manifold doesn't fit is because the 1.3 is a small block, and the 1.8 is a big block.

if you look  between the 2 sections on here you'll see the differences. Mainly that the small block has the inlet and exhaust manifolds on opposite sides of the engine, the big block has them on the same side (the back) one above the other.

supersprint do do a manifold for the small block engines,

As above, you'll need a manifold from one of the small block engines. You can get these from mk1 to mk3 polos, so stuff designed for say a polo GT will fit. You won't necessarily be able to use the rest of the polo exhaust system though as the chassis' different. I'd say if you're after a full system, use a polo-designed manifold as linked above, modify your current downpipe and then get whatever you need from there back custom made at a zorst place. :)

I cant help with information as to where its come from but I brought my 1.1L golf with a 4 branch stainless manifold on it. I can ask the previous owner where he got it from if you like? As i brought the car of one of the mods on the mk2 owers club it will be easy to get in touch with him.

As above, get one for a Polo GT, you just need the rest of the system custom made.

What doesn't kill me can only make me stronger.

Mk1 will be back.

you'll need the steering rack from a mk1 gti/gx/driver too as it has a bracket for the gearchange which you'll also need!

think it was posted above but you'll need to move the o/s engine mount back into the big block position. there are loads of pics about it on here if you search!
