What engines are a straight swap?

Simple question really - what other small (ie less than 1.6litres) VW engines will bolt straight into the smallblock Golf Mk1 engine bay?

I could probably work out how to splice an ECU loom and work out how to rig up an electric fuel pump, but I wouldn't want to be chopping or welding the chassis or engine bay

I realise that its more common to be bolting in a big-block, but I'm thinking of the insurance implications - I'm particularly hoping something like the MkIII 1.4 lump will go in
