What Does...........?

underneath the inlet manifold there is a pipe that connects to the exhaust system, Question is What does it actually do??

Theres nothing in the two manuals i have explaing what it is or what it does.

Would an air leak on that pipe cause the my 1300 not to run properly?

At the mo me and my dad are  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  as above 2000rpm the rev range is spot on under 2000rpm shes very lump and wont tick over just cuts out.

We are starting to run out of ideas.  :dontknow:

Any help would be much apprechiated.

Duane.

Its a warm up aid. Stops the carbourettor iceing up in cold weather.

Exhaust gasses travel up it and warm a plate up in the inlet manifold.

Its not gona make your engine happy if its blowing tho
