Check the choke settings bud, it is different to the original solex (cable pull) mine runs rough as a bears arse of the choke is a little funny. fiddle the jetting too, is fuel getting through?? if u had air in the lines it may take a while to get the vaccum back, ie all the air out   if it is it will be down to fuel/air mix, take off the filter and pour some petrol down the carb too (gradually) might not be enough fuel.

just have a mess, oh and use the factory settings as ur starting point, should run on this, then fine tune from there

theyre great when their going    got one on mine, i didnt originaly fit it but i did remove, strip and clean it and it went back on sweet as a nut :D  is it new??? :?  if not it may need a clean, do the needles/jets.

spot on with a k&n too

If you are over heating back flush the rad and engine, fit a new thermostat, test the operation of the fan, refit with correct antifreeze, check the timing and do a compression test.

ok it wasnt overheating today, so im goign to blame the weather…but a new problem (actually the same as yday)

the car runs fine, but has to run with the choke, also, after the idle just goes all the way down and dies, if you press the accelerator too quick it hesitates then starts, it dies when you drive in second sometimes, and when you break hard (Take your foot off the accelorater) it dies….its obviously a carb tuning problem i tried to fix it but no avail…the carb has been cleaned recently and ground is in place everything is fine just the tuneing…. help PLEASE
