Water on floor under heater matrix

Post

Hi guys, after fixing my main water leak issue (scuttle panel leaking down onto clutch cable) I now only have the one small leak, woohoo!

I've got a few drips of water underneath the heater in the centre console, I thought it may be the seal on the wiper that is above the heater blower, but I dont think it is.

Anyone know of a common reason for water there? Could it be the matrix itself? Its like 2 drips every now and then, driving makes no difference.

Cheers

I know its grim, but have you tried tasting the drip, that way if its sweet you know its coolant and more likely to be the matrix. Is there any damage on the rain tray?

Haha I hadn't thought of that, I might have to try that haha. Yea the rain tray was split on the bit that sticks up, but I sealed that back up.

hmmm, looks like I'm going to have to have a taste!

If its not the matrix or pipe - I had one of the pipes going through the bulkhead split with old age years ago - then could it be as simple as scuttle area drain tubes blocked up with leaves etc?

I guess not as it sounds like you've already been doing a lot of work in the scuttle area.

Taste test good idea though
