Unsing a 1.3 to resprayt your car.....

Our MK1 golf cambelt stripped and bent all the valves a few weeks ago BUMMA!!

I have finaly got the head rebuilt and the car back together today..

First test fire was fine, ran OK. quite happy!

the second one,… Cranked for five seconds and then fired up.. Then the windscreen started to go black.. So I turned off.. 8O

The screen and half the roof were now black…

Bloomin pipe from the oil preasure switch had failed and split from the union pumping oil at high preasure all over the car! MARVELOUS!!! :clap:

All sorted now, bar a leak from the thermostat housing..

Oh and I blew up my kenlowe hot start…

And it took me 20 mins in the pouring rain to wash the car down… :?

Unlucky mate but glad you got it sorted now.

Should have left the oil coating on the car - would stop any rust!
