throttle cable issue, changed carb...

i have recently changed my 1.3engine for another 1.3 which is from a slightly newer model… to cut a long story short the new engine warms the carb via water instead of the zorst gas method of the old engine so ive had to change quite a bit of stuff… the carb i have on now is a webber and the old one was a peirberg, the problem i have is the throttle cable is different, seems too long and has the wrong nipple on the end! i dont think its just as simple as cut the end off cos i cant see anywhere i could fasten it without a nipple…

any ideas

im goin to have a play at the weekend, if still no luck ile get some pics up.
The carb is a webber twin choke which is mounted to a 1.3 engine from an a reg mk1… the water heated inlet type. basically need to know if i can buy a cable to suit or will i have to mod my one to work with it.

Origionaly it was a peirberg carb on the old X reg 1.3 engine.
