went to check the gap on my points as its been running a little weird lately and cranked the engine by hand,
waited for the points gap to open at the top of the dizzy cam but they remained shut.
was able to move the dizzy shaft back and forth as per this video i took and the gap opened and closed without the cam going around..
this looks bad, what are my options?

there should be a metal plate that screws on before you put your rotor arm on, this acts as a bearing which stops movement to that sort of degree but I would still say that is too much play!

Think crazy quiffs do a refurb. Pretty sure mine used to have that much play and ran okay so there may be another issue.
