The Difference Between a 1.3 From a MK1/MK2 Golf?

Hello, my GF 1.3 engine died on me and my friend offered me the HK 1.3 from a MK2 golf.

Is there any difference between the two engines like different carb ect?
I know the cam is different which probably accounts for the 6 BHP difference between the 2 engines but is there anything else?
Cheers

the GF has a mechanical head where as the HK is hydraulic. the mk2 engine also runs electronic ignition and a twin-choke carb rather than the single-choke the mk1 engine does. and not forgeting the auto choke too :)

I've recently just done the conversion myself from a GF to an MH engine. i've gotta say i cant believe how mch better the car feels to drive. alot more smoother, quieter, a little more torquey too to be honest :)

if you have any quetions just give me a shout =]

if you fit later mk2 engien with electronic ign you need to convert your car to electronic ign too, the old points dizzy wont fit the new engine i dont think
