cutting out
i would take it to bits and clean it out
also, my mate had this problem as well as me, when braking hard it cut out….in the end, his weber ended up sat sideways on the inlet manifold due to the rubber carb mount being completely perished, and with braking, the weight of the carb and filter caused the whole lot to lift up under heavy braking
try that mate, hopefully this is a help to you

Check the fuel pump. If it stalls out of gear then this can be caused by cavitation in the pipes. My pump was dieing but I only found out when I braked, the fuel was sent down the pipes to the pump and it couldn't handle it.
If thats alright you're gonna have to whip the carb off and give it a good clean. Old petrol really messed up carbs and leaves residue like brown tar which blocks off the inside of all the venturi's and bits and pieces that have to be a measured size.
