Seized 1,3 engine

Hi all as above any tips to free it up to now i have took the head off
Drop the block out then took the sump off it looks like
Its the piston that are stuck so put loads of wd40 in the bores is there
Anything better thx billy

WD40 is as good as it gets for penatrating only other thing I would try is a blow torch to heat up the liners a bit then get a short peice of scaffold pole or 2 inch pipe on top of the piston and belt it with a hammer.

Will that not damage the pistons also is there anything better than wd40 cheers

If its seized mate the chances are the pistons are already shafted, if it has seized due to being thrashed with no engine oil in or the pistons have been worn, the piston rings will have welded themselves to the linings off the bores.

Chances are you will need a re-bore and a new set of pistons and oversize rings, not a massive job but worth having done by a reputable engineering company, good news is when its done you know it will be a grand engine providing you have all the bearings and seals replaced..
