polo mk2 and golf mk1 1272cc engines the same?

Hi just wondering if there was any difference between these two engins as im deciding what to do….

if you mean does it fit in, yea it does, the box wont though i dont think but you can use your mk box,
i have a mk2 golf 1300 (hk engine code) engine and box up for grabs if your intrested, quite a nippy lil engine.
