noisy tappets 1.3

Just trying to find out a few things about engines and stuff incase i buy one
can the tappets be adjusted like the same as the 1.1, or is it a bucket and shim job?
Are any of the mk 1s unleaded?, if not is an unleaded head off mk 2 or 3 the same?

All mk1's will run on unleaded (apart from diesels :doh.  The 1.3 has the same head as the 1.1 and therefore the same method of valve clearance adjusment (tolerances may be different).

Yeah Mk1's and early MK2's have rocker arms to operate the valves. Later MK2 cars had Hydrualic Tappets.

Mine 1300 driver suffers from noisey tappits. Might take the cam cover off and have a look see.
