Newbie...hence no clue what it might well be

hey, i have a slight problem with my 1.1 formula E golf, it has a dip in power when i put my foot down in third and it is also guzzling the petrol(50miles to ?10 of petrol),  i also have a pinking when in third when i put my footdown same actually i have both these problems in fourth too. Any body got any ideas???

Another thing which i will need soon and would be very greatful if some one can help, is all the settings IE dwell angle, spark gap ect.

You probably have them in 1st and second just not as noticable.

Sounds like the timing causing pinking.

Hesitation is more likely to be the spark breaking down under load which means your plugs, HT leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap, condensor, points or coil maybe knackered. If they haven't been changed in a while change em.

You need to get the timing done after you change points, Haynes has the values you need if no one on here is forthcoming.
