my 1.1 c wants to move slightly faster with minimum spending
seeing as its just after xmas and that !!! was just seeking advice on what i could do or fit to my little 1.1 to make her slightly nippier >> cheers in advance

Which 1.1 is it ? ( engine code please )
Just start off by making sure the basics are SPOT on.
Points gap, plugs gap, valve clearences, timing and mixture.
Make sure the exhaust isn't leaking anywhere ( and that you only have ONE silencer ! ) Also, ensure that the rubber boot the carb mounts to is TOTALLY leak free ( a lot of people chase their tales on that one. )
You can always fit an 4 into 1 Ashley manifold, that'll release a few HP and some bigger jets in the carb won't be much either.
Following that, you can pull the head off for some smoothing work and grind the valves in properly. Lots of the little easy things add up to a useful increase.
A lot of people might recommend that you just stick a 1300 HK code lump or MH lump from a polo or a golf in, which I/we have also done…pics below…
