MK2 polo 5 speed?

Just seen a MK2 polo breadvan with pretty low mileage and in quite good nick at the scrap yard and noticed it has a 5 speed box. Its a 1.3 small block with efi and i quite fancied the engine from it but am unsure of what is wrong with it so decided its not worth the effort really but it had me wondering whether or not the gearbox would just fit straight on and which gear box it is exactly? And would i need to change any mounts? (im assuming i will)

gearbox will fit but you have to make yourself a gearbox mount from half the polo mount and half your old mount. engine will be straight fit too if you decide to go for it.

okay thanks thats great for future reference but I had no way of telling the condition of that engine so had to leave it :/

Excuse to rebuild the box no clocks?

well it had about 40k i think so the box might be alright on it, if i go back soon i might get it off it
