Mk1 Golf Driver Engine Swap

Does anybody know if a mk11 golf engine 1300 with a five speed gbox will fit straight in to a mk1 golf 1300 driver??

The fuel pump is on the oppisite side and the angle of the head looks different any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, the only difference you will find is that there isn't an off the shelf mount for the 5 speed. I've got a '94 1.3 Polo engine in mine and it bolted straight in.

sounds good to me, as above , you need to make a gearbox mount but pretty much bolt in job.

Straight in fella, apart from the said gearbox mount.  Angle of the head and fuel pump location are different but this doesnt matter at all.

Electronic ignition will be needed however if not already fitted, because the hydraulic head cams use a different dizzy. Is very easy to do though
