Mk1 golf 1.1 caliper retaining spring

was cleaning out the caliper and the retaining spring snaped,

has anyone got one for 1.1 brakes for sell please or no where i can get one?

Does the 1.1 mk1 golf use the early ATE front calipers with the small square pads retained with two pins? If so they are the same as MK1 polo items and I have a full set of spares - this retaining spring you need, is it the retaining spring for the two pins that hold the pads in or the spreader spring that goes between the two pads (shaped like a cross)?

I've never been able to remove that spring in the past, sure it's pressed in to the housing. I do have a bare caliper body complete with spring (no cylinder, etc) that's up for grabs if you wanted?

Can grab a picture if you wanted…
