mk1 carb swap

can anyone tell me if the carb from a mk1 polo 1043 cc is the same as a 1093 cc one from a mk1 golf c,,,,,only ive been offered one but the cc difference tells me it may not fit,,thanks..if not,is there any other carb i can bolt straight onto my 1.1 coz the one thats on it is shot
