hi,
im looking in to getting electronic ignition for my 1.1 formel E and was looking at lumenition magnetronics which is a hidden moduel inside the dizzy cap. has anyone used one on a golf that can comment on how good they are ( or not ) or even let me know of any better alternatives?
Cheers

Have a read of this - http://www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1620
This line sell it to me though - The pertronix kit you want is the 1843, it was so easy to fit and works so well Just wish i had done this mod. form day one! It is a must!!!!!
Saved it in my favorites a while ago - gonna buy it before the cold sets in for winter
Aldon Automotive sell the petronix kits under there own name - Ignitor series iirc.
Let me know how you get on if you buy one.

i'm not sure if petronix will do a distributor for the small block golfs :dontknow: . to be fair as long as your vacuum advance is working and it all looks ok inside i wouldn't bother. i'd guess if you could get a pertornix dizzy it would be rather expensive ?200 plus?
