That looks like a replacement Webber carb, the original was Pierberg. As regards if its for a 1.3 I dont know but 1.1 or 1.3 it should be able to be tuned to suit. Hope this helps.

i ask because i bought it myself for a 1300 mk1, never got round to using it myself, so sold it.

the guy whs bought it says it from a ford, and isnt for a 1300 VW at all.

Ive got one of these in my boot and yes its for a golf 1300.this design of carb was used on loads of cars over the years including fords ,but this one looks like a volkswagen replacement part to me.its the same as mine.
bolt it on,she ll fly and start better too.

The Weber 34 ICH was used in many different cars but there are subtle differences - to sort out what you need - Email me for my free Weber 34 ICH Identification & Fitting Guide - My Email is in my profile below.

With regard to the carburettor pictured above - What is the number on the casting below where it says 34 ICH ?

It should be 9-350 for a Small-Block Golf.

However, there are then two types with different jets for the 1.1 or the 1.3.

Brackets and linkage all look like the Golf version to me.
