I need more power!

So ive got a mk1 1.1 converted to a polo gt 1.3 (fuel injection) mated to the original 4 speed box. Comoplety standard apart from a k & n cone filter. What mods are there that will give me more power? eg bike carbs etc..

lol. A bigger engine will happen one day when funds allow. Just that the engine conversion i want will cost me big moneys..! And is little out of my knowledge of how to at the moment!

For now i was hoping to get a tad bit more from current engine! Just so i can enjoy my car as it is!

Any help would be appreciated!!

seems little point in spending money trying to acheive mininmal gain on your small engine, that's going to cost money that you could put towards your dream engine.

It's just gonna take you even longer to save then.
So stick with it and keep saving or you will never be satisfied.

and bike carbs will just cost you more money because you will visit the petrol station more often !!
They will sound good but cannot compete with Fuel Injection as they are a compromise across the rev range.

They will also go out of balance and drive you nuts

Look on the clubpolo forum. Plenty of info on there about tuning polo gt engines

A ported cylinder head and a fast road type cam. As the GT engine is popular with the Polo brigade you'll be able to sell it on easy when you move on to a bigger engine.

I think there is a generic chip available that the Polo boys use, and a better exhaust system will help.

The above mods should see an easy 95hp.

That sounds like an easy few hp+ .. oh i defo check out the club polo forum aswell..
