I can't find one of these!

I don't want to put it back on the engine as it's so rusty and corroded - any ideas?

If it hasn't rusted through, you could probably get it sandblasted,  and possibly powder coated - is it the water rail? 
Failing that, if you can afford it, a local fabrication place could make you one - I'm sure you could talk them into a good deal  

I've had a look at most places - I could be looking for the wrong thing though  

It comes off the water pump flange at the back of the engine. I thought there might be a silicone or similar equivalent but I can't seem to find anything.

It's not rusted through and I did want to have it powder coated but the boyfriend said it might not work.

i have acouple of spare engines with pipes still conected. im in tomorow if you want to send that pic to my mobile i will check condition for you 07557914692

I'm going to take it to the powder coaters and see what they say (I don't think the boyf knows everything!   )

Have you ever made a heat shield for a small block? Can't find one of those either!

Never done a heat shield for a small block. Do you mean the warm air cover/retainer thing on the exhaust manifold? Or some other heat shield I don't know about?

I definitely want the shield so put me down for one of those - it might be an idea to offer it to the forum too as I know they're like hens teeth to find!

The pipe I currently have is at the powder coaters and is due back Friday so I'll let you know - you do offer a god deal though

The pipe came back from the powder coaters and I'm really happy with it  

If you're still interested in looking into making the manifold shield then I'll definitely buy one
