how does your 1.3's start in the mornings???

mine doesnt like the cold, takes about 3 tries then i have to hold revs at 2-3 grand for a min or two before a violent jerk or two pulling away then spluttering down to the end of the road.

after that its fine. lol

it has a webber and k&n filter

fuel system has been cleaned out, havent looked in the carb yet but carb mount is sound

is this how they are?  just thinking ahead as its not even that cold yet

I need to give mine a couple of revs to keep it from stalling but after about 20 seconds its fine, just needs to warm up!

Does it have the pre-heat pipe from the exhaust fanifold to the air filter box, or has all that been junked for the K&N?

all junked, although there is a pipe from the downpipe to the filter anyway.

If the bad running as started since the cooler damper weather arrived, this could be your problem. As standard the 1100/1300s had a large pressed metal 'scoop' on top of the exhaust manifold linked to the air filter. Also the inlet manifold under the carb was linked to the exhaust in a 'preheat' set up, is all this present and correct?

Mine starts  after a couple of go s if not used regularly.
I have kept the warm air feed pipe to airbox from manifold cover.
Original manifold cover coroded but got a replacement a few years ago from a polol 1.3  which fitted as a swap
When used regularly, car starts better.
