thought i,d add a pic or two see if it helps!
the only way i can see is to shorten the mounting pins and use the original mounting. But part of the idea was to get rid of that, please somebody help!!
old carb (still on four prong rubber adapter)
inlet top
new carb

unbolt the adaptor and see if the holes line up with the new carb

wouldn't there be an issue with that nut on the underside of the carb? you wouldn't be able to get the gasket to sit flush so it wouldn't seal. have you spoke to the person you bought it off or crazyquiff?

i cant talk to crazyquiff for another week.
my good fortune they,re closed for a week.
the two prongs on the newer carb are wider than the old.
plus the bag of bits that came with the kit doesnt seem to fit anything on the carb…
gettin well cured of tryin to keep this 1.1 goin, very tempted to whack the 16v in and have done!!

the inlet manifold i have may well fit that car, however i believe the inlet manifold only fits 1.5 cars and upwards due to the mounting points on the inlet manifold.
as said above im not sure how you will be able to sold the problem of that carb sitting flush due to the large bolt head by the chamber opening
what are teh markings on the carb? model number or similar?
i would definatly consider the 16v conversion if you have the time, best power per buck probably
