GTI Engine into mk1 1.1?

I have a gti that is badly damaged and have bben looking for a new shell for ages. Have found a perfect shell with no rust,welding or sunroof, but it is 1.1.

Will a GTI Engine go straight in a 1.1 shell?

where is the damage

the GTI needs a new inner wing, slam panel, bonnet, steering rack, offside wing, headlights, grille. quite alot lol
