Il be putting an ABD (1.4 mk3 golf) engine on bike carbs in my mk1 soon and its running on gsxr600 crabs using a 600cc bike fuel pump (recommeneded by bogg bros) and for an inlet manifold get in touch with danst engineering, he does self weld kits for £75 or make your own! :). But is it really worth bike carbing a GF?! :P

600 cc carbs off any bike, Facet fuel pump and filter king pressure regulator, made my own manifold;

On my HH engine;

Made a good few manifolds for other people too! :wink: Much cheaper than Bogg Bros and miles better :mrgreen:

Bogg bros do a bargain rolling road setup though! 8) The only way it would be worth fitting bike carbs is if you have them set up properly. Bogg Bros are absolute gods when it comes to setting them up, and your car will come away singing! I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Bike carbs don't use loads of fuel like so many idiots suggest, and they are the most efficient way of getting power out of an N/A engine, aside from electronic fuel injection.

Thats exactly what I like to see !!!  Good work….

Has the GG got the holes in the cylinder head for the orginal inlet manifold ???  What did you do about those….block them up I suppose……doh… :-D

and is that new gearbox mount I spy for a five speed box ???

Very interested in a manifold mate actually……:)

Drop us a PM if you like matey :D

Yeah the gearbox mount is the result of a wave of obsession making custom stainless bits for my mk1 :lol: Did a front mount in stainless too which came later on after that pic was taken.

On the early engines you can block the exhaust holes up with alloy dowels like mine, or you can incorporate the barrier into the flange of the inlet manifold :)

Hi!
I've got few questions about installing bike cars.
First what type of fuel pump i need? (how much bars and liters per hour)
Second, Should there be a return fuel line, or should I use a fuel pressure regulator?
