Fuel Lines - Injection ?
Will the 1.1C Fuel lines be big enough and strong enough to supply the fuel in my 1.3 Injection conversion. Its a Multipoint from a Polo CL.
I'd rather not change them if I dont have to

i stand corrected, i could have sworn that when i measured my existing lines they were 6mm internal!? i think i'm losing my marbles :dontknow:
Dan - you might be right that the ID is 6mm but both engines had the same metal pipe 8mm which might well be the OD.

i have on my bench at work a polo gt injection pump, accumulator and filter assembly(ie mpi) waiting to go on my car. the supply line is the modern plastic type and is 8mm internal, the return is 6mm internal. so thats what i will be fitting to mine as it is the original vw spec. i will double check these measurements and amend if wrong.
out of interest what engine are you fitting biggr5, 3f, nz, ?
edit
sorry, i do apologize, made a mistake , i was measuring a non original pipe on the gt pump assembly, bugger! the supply line as rich said is 6mm internal. so the original lines should be fine if they are in good nick. ops:

Had a look today and it dosent seem all that bad to change them actually. I assume the metal tabs just fold over the lines to hold them in place ?
Whats the chance that after I fold them away to get the std pipes out and fold them back they wont break off ?
I'd rather keep them the same spec as the polo if its not too hard to do.
